Kathryn V. Miller

Kathryn Virginia (Groff) Miller, 80, of Fleetwood, died of Lung Cancer March 31, 2008 in her son's Wellsboro, Tioga County residence.

She was the widow of Rayfield LeRoy Miller, who died April 5, 1963.

Born in Reading, (Riverside), PA, on November 12, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Walter Winfield Groff and Clara Esther (Helder) Groff.

Kathryn was employed 34 years as a buttonholer with the Fleetwood Shirt Factory and another 9 years with Tarsus of Fleetwood as a packer, last working in January.

She is survived by four children; Claulette G. Yerger of Mohnton; Kathleen Miller of Blandon; Patricia L. wife of Ronald Hahn of Fleetwood and David M. husband of Joan E. (Gauby) Miller of Wellsboro, Tioga County.

Other survivors include a son-in-law; James Fair of Mohrsville and two brothers; George of Mohnton and Albert of Tucson, Ariz.

There are also ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren surviving.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara E. Fair, who died June 2, 2000 and a brother, Walter Groff, who died September 23, 1996.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Dr. Christopher Jones officiating.
