Kathryn B. Steffy

Kathryn B. (Becker) Steffy, 107, died February 13, 2013, in The Highlands at Wyomissing.

Her first husband, Herbert Bischoff died in 1931. Her second husband, Joel W. Steffy, died on September 5, 1981.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Irvin M. and Laura A. (Stump) Becker.

She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church.

Kathryn was active in the community. She served on the Board of American Cancer Society for 25 years, was a founder and organizer for Meals on Wheels, served on the Women's Symphony Committee of Reading for 35 years and was the past president of the Reading Hospital Ladies Auxiliary of Wyomissing.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd, Wyomissing, PA 19610. Burial will be private in Sinking Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church at the above address or American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Edward J.
