Kathryn T. Hogan

Kathryn T. "Kate" (Griffin) Hogan, 75, passed away September 1, 2016, in her residence surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

Born August 2, 1941, in West Chester she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Myrtle Griffin and the widow of Frank J. Hogan Jr. who passed away in 2010.

She attended Conestoga Area High School, Berwyn, PA and graduated in 1959.

Kate was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Mohnton and served as their church book keeper before retiring in 2006.

Kate is survived by her four children: Kathleen of Mohnton; Frank husband of Dianne of Bowmansville; Maureen of Reading; and Michael at home; four grandchildren: Tyler, Erin, and Ryan of Bowmansville and Coby of Mohnton. She is also survived by four siblings, five sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, three nieces, three nephews and one great-niece.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at 12 p.m. in St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540. Burial will follow in Robeson Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m to 12 p.m in the church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
