Kathryn S. Hofmann

Kathryn S. Hofmann, 87, died November 17, 2006 in her Wyomissing residence.

Her husband Vincent D. Hofmann died in March of 1987.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Merritt and Effie (Shirey) Shingle.

She was the bookkeeper for Hofmann Landscaping from 1964 until her retirement in 2001.

Kathryn was a graduate of Pottstown High School and Temple University School of Dental Hygiene.

She was past president of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.Church Women's Club.

Kathryn was the former president of the Women's Board of St. Joseph's Hospital; she was also a volunteer at the hospital for 30 years.

She is survived by one son, Christopher V. husband of Mary E. Hofmann, Mohnton and one daughter Christina K. (Hofmann) wife of Eric R. Romanski, Clifton Park, NY. There is also one sister, Lillian (Shingle) Scroger, Alabama, NY. Seven grandchildren, Kay Lynn Burke, Heather Hofmann, Krista Ziobrowski, Holly Hofmann, Kevin Romanski, Heath Hofmann and Matthew Hofmann and six great grandchildren also survive her.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Entombment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour before the service.
