Kathryn M. Collins

Kathryn M. Collins, 61, Fleetwood, died of natural causes Feb. 20 at 6:45 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had been a patient for one day.

She was the wife of George I. Collins.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of Mildred (Heebner) Manderewicz, Temple, and the late Robert Shugars.

Collins had been employed for 35 years as a machine operator by Luden's Inc., Reading, retiring in 2004.

She is also survived by a son, Michael I., Fleetwood, and a daughter, Michele L. (Collins) Possessky, Denver, Lancaster County.

Other survivors include a brother, Robert Shugars, Riverview Park.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Viewing will be Wednesday 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
