Kathlene Marie Schultz

Kathlene, 68, of Fleetwood PA, passed on January 10, 2014 after a long and hard fought battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Atypical Parkinson's.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York, Febuary 2, 1945, daughter of the late Joseph B. and Sophia Ford ( nee Wdzieczny - Davis ) and a graduate from Medina High School in 1962. After graduation she married her high school sweetheart Daniel M. Schultz on November 3, 1962. They resided in Medina, NY until 1985 when they moved to Richland, PA and later relocated to Fleetwood, PA.

Kathlene enjoyed an outstanding medical career as a State Certified Ophthalmic Assistant in both New York and Pennsylvania and she was well known by her patients for her compassion and care, especially for the handicapped and the ederly. On her off-time you could usally find Kathlene enjoying the wonderful company of her loving grandchildren. They were her purpose in this world.

Kathlene is survived by her husband Daniel M. Schultz and two children: son Scott (Kathlene) Schultz, of Tewksbury, MA; and daughter Renee (David) Meese of Wexford, PA. In addition Kathlene is survived by grandchildren: Mackenzie Meese of Wexford, PA; Maximilian (Morgan) Meese of Williamsburg, VA; and Jennifer and Samantha Schultz of Tewksbury. MA.

She is also survived by a brother; Ronald (Barbara) Doody of Stockton, CA a sister; Charlene (George) Ander of Lyndonville, NY and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her mother Sophia Ford;father Joseph B. Ford and brother Joseph B. (Buddy) Ford, Jr.

A Christian Mass of Burial is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Donations to the CUREPSP Foundation are Strongly encouraged.
