Kathlene Marie Schultz, 68, of Fleetwood PA, passed away on January 10th after a long and hard fought battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Atypical Parkinson's.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York, February 2, 1945, daughter of the late Joseph B. and Sophie A. Ford (nee Wdzieczny-Davis) and graduated from Medina High School in 1962. After graduation she married her high school sweetheart Daniel M. Schultz on November 3, 1962. They resided in Medina, NY until 1985 when they moved to Richland, PA and later relocated to Fleetwood, PA.

Kathlene enjoyed an outstanding medical career as a State Certified Ophthalmic Assistant being accredited in both New York and Pennsylvania. She was well known by her patients for her compassion and care, especially for the handicapped and the elderly. On her off-time you could find Kathlene enjoying the wonderful company of her loving grandchildren. They were her primary focus and purpose in this world.

Kathlene is survived by her husband Daniel M. Schultz and two children: son Scott (Kathleen) Schultz, of Tewksbury, MA; and daughter Renee (David) Meese of Wexford, PA. In addition Kathlene is survived by grandchildren: Mackenzie Meese of Wexford, PA; Maximilian (Morgan) Meese of Williamsburg, VA; Jennifer and Samantha Schultz of Tewksbury, MA.

She is also survived by a brother; Ronald (Barbara) Doody of Highland, CA and a sister; Charlene (George) Ander of Lyndonville, New York and several nieces and nephews.

Kathlene is predeceased by her mother Sophie A. Ford; father Joseph B. Ford and brother Joseph B. (Buddy) Ford, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial is being planned at Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Medina NY. The date and time of the service will be announced later. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery located on Route 63.
