Kathleen Ann Zuidema

Kathleen Ann Zuidema, age 72, of Wyomissing, PA, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023.

Kathy was born to Joseph and Ruth Hubner in Rochester, New York. After Kathy graduated from Bishop Kearney High School, she went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in English at SUNY Oswego and a Master's Degree in Library Science at SUNY Geneseo.

Kathy was incredibly intelligent, caring, and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She was an accomplished competitive water skier and considered Honeoye Lake heaven on earth, where she spent many summers with her family. She loved tennis, Scrabble, and crossword puzzles and was a voracious reader. She was also a notorious table talker when playing euchre. Her infectious smile and wry sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph, and her mother, Ruth. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her children, Scott (Lauren) and Adam (Jennifer); and four grandchildren: Mackenzie, Jack, Mila, and Rory. Kathy was the oldest of six children and she leaves behind her five siblings: Mary Jo, Janice, Ann, Tom, and John, and their many children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life at Honeoye Lake will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathy's memory to the Alzheimer's Association at P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.

The family would like to thank the Highlands at Wyomissing for their compassionate care during Kathy's stay there and to all of our family and friends for their support and prayers.
