Kathleen A. Velez

Kathleen A. Velez, 58, of Chestnut Street, Shoemakersville, was dead on arrival of natural causes Jan. 16 at 1:48 a.m. in Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Elias D. Velez.

Born in Shoemakersville, she was a daughter of the late George and Marian (Fritz) Henne.

Velez had been employed for 16 years as a consumer service representative by Exide Corp., Reading.

She was a member of Lighthouse Christian Center, West Reading.

Velez was a 1962 graduate of Perry High School.

She is also survived by a daughter, Merisa Velez, Reading, and two sons, Christopher Henne and Matthew Velez, both of Shoemakersville.

There are also three grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Viewing 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
