Kathleen E. Baver

Kathleen E. Baver, 91, of Nazareth, passed away on January 15, 2026 at Moravian Hall Square. Born in Auburn, PA, she was the daughter of Guy and Sarah (Mengel) Sowers. She was the devoted wife of the late Brian D. Baver. The couple married on June 2nd 1953 and shared 67 years together.

After graduating from Blue Mountain High School, she worked in the textile industry before becoming a mother. Her role as a caregiver extended beyond her son, Jason, to the many loved ones in her life. She had a genuine compassion for others and willingly helped with cooking, cleaning, bathing, and other daily needs of friends and family members. Kathleen enjoyed music and was an organist who could play by ear. Most of all, she loved time spent with her family.

She is survived by her son, Jason Baver (Keri), of Nazareth, and her grandsons, Alex Baver, of Erie, and Jack Baver, of Nazareth. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Kerschner.

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, spouse, and sister, Mary Frances Peiffer.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11AM at St. John's Church, Auburn. Family and friends will be received from 10:30-11AM at the church. Burial will follow at Zion's Red Church Cemetery, Orwigsburg.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to St. John’s Church, Auburn, or Zion’s Red Church, Orwigsburg.
