Kathleen Ann Cranos

Kathleen Ann Cranos, 68, of Exeter Township, died September 7, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, David P. Cranos, died August 28, 2007.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of Betty V. (Hahn) Dwyer, West Reading and the late Thomas G. Dwyer.

She was a 1960 graduate of West Reading H.S. and a 1987 graduate of Kutztown University.

Kathleen was a teacher at Cabrini Academy, retiring in 1997.

She was a Past President of Mt. Penn Women's Club, a Girl Scouts of America troop leader for many years and she taught C.C.D. at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, Exeter Township.

She is survived by her two daughters: Caroline Cranos, Groveland, MA and Christina Cranos, Mt. Penn. Also surviving are her three grandchildren: Katie Formosi, Emma Formosi and Cameron Cranos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading. A viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8p.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
