Katherine Whitmoyer

Katherine (Terebecky) Whitmoyer, 88, of Garden of Angels Apartments, 22 Rothermel Street, Laureldale and formerly of 105 Olive Street, West Reading died October 12th at 3:14 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been since Friday.

Born in West Coplay, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Elick and Mary (Krucheck) Terebecky.

She worked 20 years as a presser for the former Wide-A-Wake Shirt Company of Wyomissing until her retirement in 1957.

Whitmoyer was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Church, Hyde Park.

She is survived by a son, Bernard E. husband of Caroline R. (Rife) Whitmoyer of South Heidelberg Township and a daughter, Karen M. (Whitmoyer) wife of Nicholas Katsigiannis of Marltown, New Jersey.

Other survivors include a brother, John Terebecky of Fort Prince, Florida and a sister, Rose (Terebecky) Reisch of Reading.

There are also six grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. Viewing Thursday 8:30 - 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Reading.
