Karlene A. Miller

Karlene A. Miller, 68 died September 16 at 1:18 a.m. in her residence in Hyde Park.

She was the wife of Raymond E. Miller.

Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late William A. and Rosie A. (Umbenhauer) Ripple.

She was employed by Western Electric as a lay operator for over 30 years retiring in 1997.

Miller was a graduate of Reading High School in 1955.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Reading.

Other survivors include one daughter, Kim S. (Miller) Montag, Lock Haven. There is also a stepson Scott A. Miller, Reading and a stepdaughter Stacey A. Miller, Reading.

She is also survived by three brothers William G. Ripple, Riverview Park, Milton A. Ripple, Muhlenberg Park and her twin brother Karl A. Ripple, Reading. Her sister Catharine A. (Ripple) Geissler, Wyomissing and 2 step grandchildren also survive her.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Twp. Friends may call Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 498 Bellevue Avenue Reading, PA 19605. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
