Karl H. Knarr, 93, of Reading passed away March 8, 2015 in the Reading Hospital
He was the husband of Dorothy F. Knarr whom he married February 28, 1942.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Isaac and Stella (Leab) Knarr.
Karl was a graduate of Reading High School.
Karl was employed as an electrician by the Local Union 743 before retiring.
He was a veteran of the US. Army, serving during World War II.
Karl was an avid sports fan, but his passion was both playing and watching golf.
One thing that he loved more than sports was spending time with his beloved family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Michael K., husband of Suzanne Knarr, Mohrsville;Jay S., husband of Lois Knarr, Mohrsville, and June A., wife of Kevin Lerch, Wyomissing.
Karl is also survived by his grandchildren: Barry Knarr, Lee Knarr, Matthew Knarr and Vincent Lerch: great-grandchildren, Christopher Knarr, Briana Knarr, Anthony Knarr, Sean Knarr, Cordelia Knarr and Vera Lerch; and nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sister Geraldine Wertley.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 3pm at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. A viewing will be held an hour prior at the funeral home.
