Karin A. Flatt

Karin A. Flatt (née Pohlschmidt), 78, of Wyomissing, died July 1, 2022, in Reading Hospital. She was the widow of Walter C. Flatt, Jr. Born in Bierstadt-Wiesbaden, Germany, she was the only daughter of the late Wilhelm and Anneliese (née Gilbert) Pohlschmidt. Karin was originally employed as a corporate translator for Hoechst AG (now Sanofi Aventis). She enjoyed music, cooking, baking, local radio talk shows, and public television.

She is survived by three sons: Eric S., husband of Stacey, New York, NY; Mark C., husband of Stacey, Lancaster County, PA; and Collin E., husband of Rashi Hemnani, Los Angeles, CA. She was the proud grandmother to Millie, Los Angeles, CA.

A Memorial Service celebrating Karin's life will be held on September 24, 2022 at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church at 527 Washington Street in Reading, PA. All are welcome to attend. Burial was private in Laureldale Cemetery. The family asks that flowers not be sent, and a cause to contribute to in Karin's memory will be announced before the Memorial Service. Edward J.
