Karen M. Waldron

Karen Waldron, 82, passed away peacefully at Spruce Manor, West Reading, on December 23, 2024.

Born in West Reading to prominent artist and Reading Museum curator James M.K. Waldron and Marguerite Ullrich, Karen lived there for much of her early life.

Karen was employed for decades as an elementary school librarian in the Schuylkill Valley District and is fondly remembered by the thousands of students whose lives she touched. She also served as a member of the Berks County Public Library Advisory Board and volunteered for the Friends of the Library, the AAUW, and the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.

Karen is survived by her brothers, James Waldron and Kim Waldron; nieces: Nicole Clabauch, and Coleen and Rebecca Waldron; nephew, Justin Waldron; and an extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading. Words of remembrance will be shared starting at 12:00 p.m.
