Karen L. (Hassler) Miller, 67, passed away on October 22, 2026, at Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas Miller Jr. They shared 47 wonderful years together.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of John “Jack” Hassler. Karen graduated from Governor Mifflin High School and later graduated from Beauty School. She worked as a hairdresser for many years, building connections with her community. She also worked at Teamsters as a receptionist. Karen was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed playing games, and watching her shows. Karen loved her family, and visited the family in Ohio whenever possible.
She was also known as “Day-Day” to her beloved grandson, Benji, who she cherished spending time with.
To her family, Karen was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, and an amazing one of a kind woman who brought light into every room.
Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Thomas Miller, Jr.; children: Jaclyn “Jackie” Miller (Dean); her grandson, Benji; as well as her fur baby, Bernie.
Karen will be laid to rest privately at her request.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request any donations to help defray the cost.
