June Betty Gieringer

June "Betty" Gieringer, 91, formerly of Oley, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Manor Care, Sinking Spring where she was a resident since July 2010.

Her husband, Leonard K. Gieringer passed away on December 1, 1981.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John W. Grim and Rosa (Seiders) Grim-Pflum

She and her husband owned and operated L.K. Gieringer Hardware Store, Oley from 1958 until retiring in 1981.

She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Oley, and was a 1938 Graduate of Reading High School.

She is survived by her half Sister: Patricia Lanning of Muhlenberg Township and her Half Brother: Daniel Pflum of Harwood, Maryland. She is also survived by 11 Nieces and Nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in Friedens United Church of Christ, 337 Main Street, Oley, Pa. 19547 on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery. Friends and family may view on Friday from 12:00-1:00 pm in the church. Contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
