June A. Conroy

June A. Conroy, 77, of West Wyomissing, died October 27 at 4:12 a.m. in Reading Hospital where she had been since October 24.

Born in Williamstown, she was the daughter of the late Merlin and Anna M. (Stoudt) Hand.

She was a waitress for many years, first employed by the former Gelbach's Diner, Reading and later by Dempsey's Restaurant, Shillington. Conroy was last employed as a sales assistant for A.C. Moore, Shillington, later Wyomissing, for 15 years last working in June of 2005.

Conroy was a graduate of Porter High School.

She is survived by one son, James W. Conroy, Exeter Township. There are also two sisters, Dorothy A. (Hand) Bettinger, Tower City, PA and Mae W. (Hand) Morris, Enola, PA. She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
