Julie Lynn Baeighkley

Julie Lynn Baeighkley, 72, of West Reading, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in the care of West Reading Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the loving wife of William T. Baeighkley, Jr.

Born in Reading to the late Roland B. Mengel and Naomi R. (Wolfe) Mengel, Julie graduated from Reading High School in 1970. She previously worked for Marco Electric and Berkshire Knitting Mills. She also delivered phone books with her brother, Luke.

Julie was a fun-loving person. A tremendous baker, she was known for her upside-down cakes. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Gettysburg and Cape May. She treasured the time spent with her family.

In addition to her beloved husband, Bill, Julie is survived by her brother, Luke A. Mengel, of Reading, and niece, Debbi Mengel. She was predeceased by her sister, Cynthia Badinger, who is survived by Ronald Badinger.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Rd, Brown Mills, NJ 08015.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading PA 19611, with committal to follow at Laureldale Cemetery.
