Jules Leslie Frankel

Jules Leslie Frankel, 83, of Spring Twp., died February 10, 2015, in Reading Hospital.

Jules was the beloved husband of Patricia Shields.

Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Louis and Shirley (Gribbs) Frankel. He graduated from City College of New York with a degree in Art. Jules served as a photographer in the US Marines from 1952 to 1954.

A gifted artist and sculptor, he was the Art Director for Spencer Gifts Catalog until his retirement.

Jules attended St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

In addition to his wife, Jules is survived by his children, Jane Frankel, Edwin Shields, Margaret Duffalo, John Shields, Mary-Ann Nascimbeni and Matthew Shields, and nine grandchildren, John, Christopher, Taylor, Alexander, Sophia, Patrick, Elizabeth, Katherine and Thomas., and his sister, Carol (Frankel) Jarvis.
