Judy A. James

Judy A. (Miller) James, 72, died February 15, 2015, in her Reading residence.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Betty (Gaul) Miller; she is survived by her step-mother, Florence Miller, Reading.

She attended Reading High School. Judy was a devoted life-long Reading High School Booster for over 60 years. She was the Red Knights #1 fan. On Friday night, she attended the county final to see Reading win the Berks County championship in boys basketball. Judy was also an avid Penn State football and UCONN basketball fan. She was a member of Elks Lodge and Spartaco Club. She was the first female member of the Reading and Berks Basketball Association.

Judy loved spending time with friends and family and vacationing at any beach. Her vibrant spirit will be sorely missed, but will live on through those she touched.

Judy was employed as a home healthcare aide.

She is survived by two children, Michael Martin, fiancé to Susan; and Suzanne Listrani, all of Reading; her sister, Louise, wife of Joseph Neidert, Sicklerville, NJ; four step-brothers, Jim, Dave, Keith and Scott and one step-sister, Sherry. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Erin Listrani, who Judy raised, Jessica Davis, Nathaniel Listrani, Emily Martin and Anthony Lepera. Two nephews, Joseph Neidert, Jr. and Bobby Neidert also survive her.

Memorial Service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
