Judy E. Brown

Judy E. Brown, 69, passed away, Tuesday, June 27, 2017, in her Cumru Township residence.

She is survived by her beloved husband David P. Brown, whom she married September 23, 1972.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late David L. and Dorothy (Rick) Loose.

Judy was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring.

She was a 1965 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, and a 1968 graduate of The Reading Hospital School of Nursing.

She was employed as a nurse at Reading Hospital for 30 plus years. Judy later worked at Souders, Moll, Izzo and Calder Ophthalmic Associates until her retirement in 2010.

Judy was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by two children: Matthew P. Brown, Spring Twp., and Katie L., wife of Ryan Schneck, Green Lane, two sisters: Rita, wife of Ronnie Bowers, Hamburg, and Jean, wife of Kenny Stoudt, Leesport. Four grandchildren, Eva, Bear, Rose and Max Schneck, several nieces and nephews, and many friends also survive her.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 30, 2017, at 12 p.m. in St. John's Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Ave, Reading, PA 19608. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the services in the church.
