Judson R Kelly

Judson R. Kelly, 64, of Brecknock Township, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Reading Hospital surrounded by family. He was the widower of Susan A. (Malacavage) Kelly, who passed away in 2023. They shared over 47 wonderful years together.

Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late Lowell Kelly and Lilian (Poole) Kelly. Judson graduated from Mt. Carmel High School- Class of 1980. He was employed in sales management at Lezzer Lumber (formerly Green Hills Home Center) at the time of his passing.

Judson embraced life with enthusiasm and found joy in the simple pleasures it offered. A gifted woodworker, he took great pride in creating with his hands and found peace in the beauty of nature surrounding his home. He and his beloved wife, Susan, shared a love of travel, especially to coastal destinations, creating many cherished memories together. In later years, he especially enjoyed spending time at his camper in Delaware. Judson will be remembered for his craftsmanship, adventurous spirit, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

Left to treasure his memory are his children: son, Jonathan M. (Erin R. Smith) and daughter, Angela R. Kelly (Segundo Zhingre); grandchildren Autumm, Suannabelle, Remington, Lucas, and Roman; and sister Jody McCann.

Judson was predeceased by his parents; wife; sister, Ernestine Louise "Tina" Kelly; and son, Nicholas Kelly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. The visitation will be held from 5 PM until the time of the services. Burial will be at the Laureldale Cemetery on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10 AM with a procession leaving the funeral home at 9:30 AM.
