Judith L. "Judy" Fleck, of Oley, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 in her home surrounded by her family on Dec 25th, 2024. Born in West Chester PA, Judy was the daughter of the late Joseph Steurer and Reba (Kirk) Steurer, and was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Schreiber. Judy was born on September 30th, 1946, in West Chester, PA. She graduated from Unionville High School and went on to attend Wesley College. Judy worked as an office manager at Shillington Eye Associates, served as payroll manager for Interflex Inc. for 20 years, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Board of the Reading Hospital. Additionally, she was a lifetime member of the Woman's Club of Oley Valley.
Judy was married to the late Philip B. Fleck on October 7th, 1967, and shared a fairytale love story for 54 years that was filled with happiness, joy and adventure. Judy and Phil were passionate members of the car collecting community, attending numerous concours events across the country. They were devoted partners in life, traveling the world together, with a special fondness for cruises to Europe and trips to Bermuda. Judy's greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially during the many wonderful summers at their home in Cape May, NJ. She loved reading, solving puzzles, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Sixers.
Judy was a kind, caring, and compassionate woman who dedicated much of her life to caring for her family. Her warm and gentle nature made everyone around her feel cherished and appreciated. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Judy took great pride in her family, always offering love and support. She was a loving mother to her children, Jennifer and Jonathan, husband of Daphne (Palmer), and a proud grandmother to her grandchildren: Nicholas Kline, Devon (Kline) Holler, wife of James Holler, Jonathan "JP" Fleck, and Jacob Fleck. Judy's kindness extended to everyone, and she will always be remembered for the deep love she shared with those closest to her. She is also survived by her beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Quincy, who was a constant companion and source of comfort. Judy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral Services will be private with a celebration of Judy's life to be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Oley Valley Community Education Foundation (oleyvalleycef.com).
