Judith R. Bensinger

Judith R. "Judy" (Hoyt) Bensinger, 82, passed away on January 27, 2023, in her West Reading residence.

She was the loving wife of Carroll R. "Bud" Bensinger for 65 years. They married on November 10, 1957.

Born in Flint, MI, she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Margaret (Radzewicz) Hoyt.

She was a 1958 graduate of Reading High School.

Judy was employed by Holy Name High School (now known as Berks Catholic) as a cafeteria manager, for 30 years. She also was a life-long Avon representative. She enjoyed testing her luck at the casinos and traveling with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed trips to the beach during the summer with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was known to enjoy the occasional glass of White Zinfandel. Judy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Brian, husband of Kathleen Bensinger, and Patricia, wife of Harry Miller, all of West Reading; three grandchildren: Justin, husband of Piera Moyer, Adam Moyer, and Lindsay, wife of John Seeger; and four great-grandchildren: Gryffin, Gracie, Cain, and Noah.

Judy was predeceased by her son Bruce Bensinger on March 2, 2002, and her sister Patricia Pullano on August 20, 2014.

Services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
