Juan M. Ortiz

Juan Manuel Ortiz, Sr, 85, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Gladys M. (Diaz) Ortiz. They married in 1974, and shared 50 wonderful years together.

Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Juan Ortiz Cruz, and Annacleta Figueroa. Juan worked an array of jobs from owning and operating a grocery store in New York to driving cabs. He enjoyed being outside, even just sitting on his porch. He also enjoyed watching WWE, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Gladys, those cherishing Juan's memory are his children: Alberto Ortiz, Roberto Ortiz, Juan Ortiz, Jr, and Anthony Ortiz. He is predeceased by his daughter, Rosita Ortiz.

The funeral service for Juan will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. Friends and family may gather from 2 p.m. until the start of the service. Burial will be held privately at the request of the family.
