Joyce R. Walton

Joyce R. Walton, 86, died Jan. 7 at 11:50 a.m. in the Highlands at Wyomissing.

Her husband, John G. Walton, died in 1987.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Brown) Schafer.

Walton was employed for several years as a secretary by Walton & Bingaman Textile Machinery, Reading, retiring in 1964.

She was a 1935 graduate of Reading High School.

Surviving are a son, David E., and a daughter, Jacquelyn E. (Walton) Brown, both of Reading.

Other survivors include three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
