Joyce M. Armentrout

Joyce M. Armentrout, 90, formerly of Hamburg, passed away, Monday, August 23rd, 2021, in her daughter's home surrounded by loving family.

She was the devoted wife of the late Ralph L. Armentrout who died May 28th, 2021. Born in Tilden Township, she was the daughter of the late Ernest R. and Hilda M. (Delong) Budden.

Joyce is best known as a accomplished pianist and was actively performing for more than 80 years. She was an organist for Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home and various churches for several years. Joyce was employed as a residential services aide at the Hamburg Center. Also, she was appointed to serve as a member of the Berks County Office of Aging Advisory Council and was lobbyist for the well being of senior citizens.

Joyce's memory will be treasured by their children: Rev. Calvin L. Armentrout (Connie Armentrout) of Vinton, VA,; and Kathy Wolf (Dr. Daryl Wolf) of Hephzibah, GA, grandchildren; Rachel, Hannah, and Jordan; and great grandchildren Joel, Luke, and Noah. A sister, Margaret M., widow of Richard Yoder, Topton. Joyce was predeceased by her stillborn grandson, Calvin Joel.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526, with burial to follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens.
