Joyce Eileen Gring

Joyce Eileen Gring, 69, formerly of Berks County, died July 6, 2013, in Majuro, Marshall Islands, at her sister, Carolyn (Gring) Domnick and her brother-in-law, Charles, with whom she resided for the last 16 months.

Born March 29, 1944, in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jean (Dengler) Gring.

A 1962 graduate of Wilson High School, Joyce excelled in sports. During her adult years, she enjoyed playing volleyball and softball in community leagues.

Joyce was last employed by Berks Auto Ignition Company and O'Gradys Family Restaurant. Previously she worked at Reading Foreign Car Service and former Shillington Restaurant.

A passion for horses, Joyce was a member of the Western Berks Riding Club. Previously she had been a member of the Blue Mountain chapter, of the Sports Car Club of America. Friends were important to Joyce, especially those from high school and her "horse and shore ladies".

In addition to her sister and brother-in-law, she is survived by three nieces, Salome, Miriam and Mio; her aunt, Sarah Jane Gring, her cousin, Michael Gring; numerous grand nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Max.
