Joyce Faye Cooper

Joyce Faye Cooper, 65, of Temple died Friday, August 29, 2008 in St. Joseph's Hospital.

Born March 24, 1943 in Temple, she was the daughter of the late James O. and Ida H. (Epting) Eckert.

Joyce was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School in 1961.

She was employed as a home health caregiver for Comfort Keepers, West Lawn, for four years retiring in 2006; she had previously worked for Sovereign Bank.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.

Joyce is survived by her son, Scott G. Cooper Riverview Park and her daughter, Robin L. Temple, Largo, FL. One brother, Lynn G. Eckert, Blandon, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive her.

Joyce was predeceased by two brothers, Walter L. Eckert and Glenn R. Eckert.

Services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
