Joyce Mary Breedy

Joyce M. Breedy, 70, died August 19, 2008 in her Marion Township residence.

Her husband, Robert L. Breedy, died June 30, 1990.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Irene (Bodenhorn) Ohlinger.

She graduate of Exeter High School.

Joyce was employed by R. M. Palmer as a candypacker for 25 years, retiring in 2000.

She loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joyce enjoyed crafts, gardening and crotcheting. She greatly missed Percy, her dog and companion.

Joyce is survived by her son, Michael, husband of Elizabeth Breedy, Marion Township and her two daughters, Pamela, wife of Steven Romano, Reading; and Deborah, wife of Karl Himmelmann, all of Reading. She is also survived by a brother, Frederick Ohlinger, Jr., Texas.

Nine grandchildren, Scott and Chad Smith; Angie, Brittany and Garrett Stackhouse; Bobbie Jo Romano and Edward, Michael and Glenn Bealer and twelve great-grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Jake, Ciarra, Sabrina, Sebastian, Sage, Eric, Austin, Kobe, Edward Jr., and Leah also survive her.

Joyce was predeceased by a brother, David Ohlinger.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Joyce's name to the Animal Rescue League, P.O.
