Joy P. Doyle Klapp

Joy P. Doyle Klapp, 83, of Playground Drive, West Reading, died Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading, where she had resided since Oct. 14.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas V. Doyle, on Nov. 19, 1962, and by her second husband, Ralph G. Klapp, on Feb. 13, 2000.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late James P. and Grace (Cahill) Richardson.

A graduate of Nottingham High School, Syracuse, Klapp attended Syracuse University.

Surviving are a son, Michael R. Doyle, Jacksonville, Fla.; and two daughters, Joy M. (Doyle) Haney, Camillus, N.Y., and Kathleen (Doyle) Keener, Wernersville.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Ellen (Doyle) McCoy, in 1990.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
