Josephine M. Zampelli

Josephine M. Zampelli, 84, of Kenhorst, passed away December 30, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Dominic Zampelli, Sr., whom she married 66 years ago on June 5, 1948.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Maria (Mollica) Napoli.

Josephine retired from R.M. Palmer Co., Reading.

She was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Reading.

Josephine loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed dancing at Berks Encore, Shillington.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children: Jo Ann Zampelli, wife of Terry L. Stephenson, Mohnton; Dominic Zampelli, Jr., husband of Bonnie Sterling, Lower Heidelberg Township; and Dean J., husband of Jennifer A. Zampelli, St. Lawrence. Also surviving are her siblings: Nunzio Napoli, Shillington, and Abigail Canfora, Sinking Spring. Four grandchildren: Vincent, Nicholas, Alessandra, and Frankie also survive her.

Josephine was predeceased by her sisters: Virginia, Mildred, and Mary; and her brother, Angelo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading. A viewing will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
