Josephine S. Rissmiller

Josephine S. Rissmiller, 85, a resident at Green Hills Manor, Cumru Township, formerly of Hyde Park, died July 9 at 1:25 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day.

Her husband, Earl E. Rissmiller, died May 31, 1986.

Born in Myerstown, Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Nellie (Miller) Schaeffer.

Rissmiller had been employed for 35 years as a sewing machine operator by Wide Awake Shirt Co. Inc., retiring in 1985.

She was a member of Grace (Alsace) Church, Hyde Park.

Rissmiller was a graduate of Myerstown High School.

She is survived by a son, Terry E., Laureldale.

There are also two grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Hyde Park.
