Josephine M. Smith

Josephine M. Smith, 94, formerly of Wyomissing, died March 3 in Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, where she had resided.

Her husband, Harry E. Smith, died in 1968.

Born in Cresson, Cambria County, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Filomena (Marriott) Fucci.

Smith had been employed for 13 years as a commissary worker by ARA, Reading, retiring in 1984.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Surviving are a son, Richard A., Montrose, Va., and a daughter, Shirley A. (Smith) Napoli, Ocala, Fla.

Other survivors include three sisters: Anna (Fucci) Adams and Mary (Fucci) Mcullen, both of Reading; and Margaret (Fucci) Kinder, Wyomissing.

There are also four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
