Josephine M. Janiszewski

Josephine M. "Peña" (Nigrelli) Janiszewski, 90, passed away January 1, 2017 in her Wyomissing residence.

She was the beloved wife of Frank E. Janiszewski, who passed July 2, 2010, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria (Gogluizza) Nigrelli.

Peña was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading and very committed to her catholic faith praying her rosary daily.

She also enjoyed going out on her weekly outings with her sisters and cousins. But her true joy and love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was the foundation of her life.

She is survived by her three children, Frank A., husband of Sharon Janiszewski, Sinking Spring; David A., husband of Cynthia Janiszewski, Sinking Spring; and Georgene A. Zielinski, Exton. She is also survived by her sisters, Carmela Nigrelli, Minnie Perate, Marie Stallone, Pauline Oros and Rose Potojecki; grandchildren, Andrew Janiszewski, Amy Hole, Jessica Janiszewski, Kathleen Weidner, Megan Zielinski, and great-grandchildren, Kendal, Kaitlyn, Madalynn, Kaley, Ava and Ashlyn.

Peña was predeceased by her three siblings, Julia Caruso, Anna Kozlowski, and Harry Nigrelli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10 am in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 8 am to 9:30 am in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading.
