Josephine K. Gatchell

Josephine K. "Josie" Gatchell, 89, passed away, Wednesday, January 18, 2017, in her Bern Township residence.

Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Edith (Levines) Gatchell.

She was a member of Bern Reformed United Church of Christ.

Josephine worked in the offices of B.J. Price, Chester, for 14 years. She later worked in the offices of Medford Meat Company, Chester, for 25 years until her retirement in 1992.

She was always a kind and generous person.

Josie is survived and will be missed by her friends and caregivers, E. Joan, wife of E. Don MacKnight, and their son, Eric and his family. The MacKnight's took Josie into their home and cared for her the past eight years. She will also be missed by her furry friend Cinnamon.
