Josephine I. Druzba

Josephine I. Druzba, 96, of Mohnton, died May 20, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, John E. Druzba, died October 1991.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Julie (Tyniec) Bialek.

She was a pairer for several hosiery mills throughout Berks County.

Josephine was a member of St. Anthony of Padua, R.C. Church, Millmont. She was also a life member of Polish Falcons.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn C., wife of Gregory A. Manning, with whom she resided and her daughter-in-law, Rachael M. Druzba, Muhlenberg Township. Also surviving are her two brothers: Stanley, widower of Florence Bialek, Reading and Casimir, widower of Jeannette Bialek, Sinking Spring. There are four grandchildren: John, husband of JoAnn Manning, North Haven, CT; Jennifer, wife of Mark Crocona, Sinking Spring; Matthew, husband of Jessica Druzba, Port Matilda and Brian Druzba, Philadelphia and three great-grandchildren: Olivia Manning, Nicholas Crocona and Laura Josephine Crocona survive her.

She was predeceased by her son, Ronald J. Druzba, February 2, 1989. Josephine was also predeceased by six siblings, Mary Mamrak, Helen Kazmierczak, John Bialek, Walter Bialek, Genevieve Polm and Dorothy Gable.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua, R.C. Church, 501 Summit Ave., Reading, PA 19611. A viewing will be Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and Friday 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Contributions may be made to St. Anthony of Padua, R.C.
