Josephine A. Bodock

Josephine A. "Phina" Bodock, 71 of Windsor Township died Wednesday, October 30th in her residence. She was the wife of John M. Bodock and they celebrated fifty years of marriage this past February. Phina was born in Bethlehem and was the daughter of the late Nicholos and Josephine (Carisio) Kozul. Josephine was a 1960 graduate of Liberty High School and also graduated from Bethlehem Business School. She worked for twenty years for the USDA, Farm Service Agency retiring as Berks County Director in 2003. Phina was a faithful member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Tilden Township. She was President of the Women's Guild for many years. In addition to her husband, Phina is survived by one daughter, Catherine M. Bodock wife of John Beam, Hamburg, one son Michael husband of Lee Bodock, Melrose, MA. , one brother, Lewis Stauffer, Columbia, PA. She was predeceased by two sisters, Roberta Perez and Nicki Lance and by her step father, Lewis Stauffer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA. 19526. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, PA. There will also be a viewing Monday morning at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. There will be no funeral procession from the funeral home to the church on Monday morning. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the memorial contributions may be made to Hershey Hope Lodge, 125 Lucy Avenue, Hummelstown, PA. 17036.
