Joseph Zeglen, 97, of Millmont, died April 5, 2012 in Mifflin Center.

His wife, Margaret Joan (Korejwo) Zeglen, died June 27, 2010.

Born in McAdoo, he was a son of the late Francis and Gertrude (Bochenek) Zeglen. Joseph spent most of his younger years residing in Poland along with his parents on the family farm.

A 27 year Carpenter Technology employee, he retired in 1979.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Millmont, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and a past Eucharistic Minister.

Joseph was a member of the 18th Ward Democratic Club, Oakbrook Fire Company, Goodwill Beneficial Association.

He enjoyed gardening in his back yard and was an avid Phillies fan, but most of all, he loved to be with his family.

Joseph is survived by four children, Donna Zeglen of Wernersville; JoAnn, wife of Dennis Griffith of Mohnton; Joseph, husband of Tracey Zeglen of Cumru Township and Edward Zeglen of West Chester. Eight grandchildren, Brian, husband of Kristy Griffith; Lauren Griffith, fiancée of Mark Brubaker; Kristen Griffith; Matthew, husband of Katy Zeglen; Christopher Zeglen; Lindsay Zeglen; Julie Zeglen and Amy Zeglen; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Madison also survive him.

Joseph was predeceased by his son, Richard Zeglen in January, 1951 and three brothers, Anthony, John and Louis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's R.C. Church, 501 Summit Ave., Reading, PA 19611. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Anthony's R.C. Church at the above address. Edward J.
