Joseph Christ Shistel

Joseph Christ Shistel, 80, of Barnesville, passed away on June 17, 2026, in his residence. 

He was the husband of Donna (Takach) Shistel. Born in Shaft, PA, he was the son of the late Christ and Alice (Jones) Shistel.

Joe graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1964 and then enlisted in the Navy. Once his military service was completed, he was employed at a few jobs before starting a silver recovery company named Agtek. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing poker, and spending time with his grandchildren, especially cruising.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Nicole (married to Ralph Cincinnati) and Paula Smith; and his grandchildren: Paige and Kyle Cincinnati and Camryn and Lillian Shistel.

A visitation will be held from 10-11am with a memorial service beginning at 11am at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hamburg, PA on Saturday, June 27th. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
