Joseph Romano

Joseph Romano, Jr., 81 of Muhlenberg Township died January 20, 2009 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where he had been a patient for 2 months.

He was the widower of his first wife, Helen B. (Miller) Romano and his second wife Nancy Romano.

Born August 5, 1927 in Reading, he was a son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Edna M. (Keppley) Romano.

Joseph was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in 1946 and McCann School of Business, Allentown, where he received a degree in Accounting.

Joseph was employed as an automotive salesman for Big "A" Auto Parts for many years.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Joseph was a member of Riverside Beneficial Association, Elkton American Legion and a life member of Veteran's of Foreign Wars of the United States, Post 8175.

Surviving are five children: Joseph Romano, III, husband of Bonnie of Yuca Valley, CA; Steven A. Romano of Muhlenberg Township; Maureen L. (Romano), wife of William B. Mease of Muhlenberg Township; Ann M. Romano and Thomas F. Romano, both of Reading.

Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Bobby Joe, Anthony, Christian, Laura, Brad, Kaylah, Kyle and Isabella.

There are also six great-grandchildren, Eric, Austin, Colby, Summer, Autum and Mya.

Joseph was predeceased by a son David J. Romano in 1996.

As per Joseph's request, there will be no services held.
