Joseph M. Pruna

Joseph M. Pruna, 85, of Reading, died January 14, 2013, in ManorCare, Laureldale.

He was the husband of Amelia Frances (Magazzu) Pruna.

Born in Cuba, he was the son of the late Jose Pruna Gonzalez and Zoila Maria Rodriguez Portelles.

He was employed by AT&T, Reading for 29 years until his retirement.

Joseph was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

He loved the Philadelphia Phillies.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Joseph, husband of Michelle Albright, Chile; and his brother, Ernesto, Cuba. There are two grandchildren, Jason, husband of Alice and their son, Harrison; and Monica, wife of Nate Stoffregen. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 237 Franklin Street, Reading, PA 19602. Entombment in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
