Joseph Anthony Noviello, Sr., 75, died September 16, 2009 in his Temple residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Theresa Julia (Luke) Noviello. They would have been married 50 years on November 7.

Born June 14, 1934 in Williamsport, Lycoming County, he was a son of the late Dominic Joseph and Laboria (Borrosco) Noviello.

Joseph was a 1952 graduate of Williamsport High School. He also graduated from Williamsport Technical College.

He was employed as a Mechanical Nuclear Engineer for Gilbert's Associates and self-employed, in the same capacity, as an independent contractor for various power plants, retiring in 1992.

Joseph was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association, where he was named an expert shooter, and Berks Pistol Club.

Joseph was an avid golfer and shooter. He enjoyed motorhome traveling immensely.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Also surviving are three children: Diana M. (Noviello), wife of Curtis J. Rockey of Leesport; Joseph A. Noviello, Jr. of Boyertown and James T. Noviello of Pottstown.

In addition, there is a brother, Leo Noviello of Carlsbad, CA; a sister, Rosalie T. Aloisio Hammon of Allentown and two half-brothers, Dominic Noviello, Jr. and Michael Noviello.

Other surviviors include six grandchildren: Scott J. Rockey, Robert A. Rockey, Lucas A. Noviello, Nicole M. Rockey, Ardiana M. Noviello and Tristan M. Noviello.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park. A visitation will be held an hour prior to mass. Inurnment will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
