Joseph A. Missitti, 57, of 622 Eisenbrown Street, Reading, died in St. Joseph Medical Center Emergency Room, Reading, on May 12 at 9:45 p.m. shortly after arrival.
He was the husband of Leanda M. (Druckenmiller) Missitti.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Howard M. Cheeseman of Robeson Township and the late Santa Rosa (Missitti) Machemer. Missitti is also survived by a step-father; Clarence Machemer of Mohnton and was predeceased by his step-mother; Dawn Cheeseman.
He was an Army and Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
Missitti was first employed 12 years as a truck driver for NTC Trucking, Indiana, than as a material handler for Sweet Streets of Reading for 10 years. And last as a laborer for Baldwin Brass, Leesport for 2 years last working Friday.
Missitti is survived by a daughter; Kristina L. Missitti at home and predeceased by a daughter; Kimberly Ann Missitti, Died February 14, 1972.
He is also survived by two half-brothers; Andre Cheeseman of Reading, and Howard Cheeseman Jr. of Stoney Creek Mills.
Other surviviors include three half-sisters; Dawn (Cheeseman) Fegley of Reading, Sharon (Cheeseman) Dunkleburger of Bernville, and Sandra Cheeseman of Wernersville.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday May 19th at 4:00 p.m. in Kissinger's Lutheran Church, 715 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, Pa 19610. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made to the church. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
