Joseph J. Mammarella

Joseph J. Mammarella, 91, of Douglassville, passed away September 6, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.

His wife, Anna M. (Papa) Mammarella, died October 14, 2003.

Born in Birdsboro, he was a son of the late Georgio and Florina (DeFrancesca) Mammarella.

He was employed by the Dana Corporation in Pottstown, retiring in 1982.

Joseph was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Douglassville.

Joseph enjoyed golfing and was a proud family man. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his three children: Raymond J., husband of Susan Mammarella, Mertztown; JoAnn R. Tinnin, Wernersville and Gloria A., wife of Ralph Beidler, Douglassville. Also surviving are his eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his three brothers, three sisters and a grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 905 Chestnut St., Douglassville. A visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
