Joseph F. Kulas

Joseph E. Kulas, 94, died July 17, 2014 in his Douglassville residence.

His first wife, Mary C. (Steinmetz) Kulas died in 1956 and his second wife, Arlene M. (Swope) died in 2001.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Joseph and Frances (Grycon) Kulas.

He was a member of Mountain View Chapel, Douglassville.

Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII.

He was employed for 35 years by Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, retiring in 1981.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Cynthia M. McFarland, Douglassville, two grandchildren, Nicole and Danielle and one great-grandchild, Maddix.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Mountain View Chapel, 68 Old Douglass Dr, Douglassville, PA 19518.
