Joseph Eugene Kelly

Joseph Eugene Kelly, 89, of Lincoln Park, passed away of natural causes Monday afternoon March 8, 2010, at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Alice (Ritzel) Kelly.

Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late William A. Kelly and Anna M. (Darnall) Kelly.

He was a graduate of Rider University, Trenton, N.J., and an Army Veteran of World War II.

He retired after 35 years from International Harvester Company, Truck Division, now Navistar International Transportation Corporation, as a District Sales Manager of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

He is a member of St. Johns Baptist de la Salle Church, Shillington, PA

Surviving are three daughters, Maureen A., wife of Bert Mileski, Reading, Catherine M. Kelly, Glenolden, and Jane F., wife of David Trupe, Blandon; and four sons: Michael E., husband of Shelley Kelly, Sinking Spring, William E., Lincoln Park, Kevin J., husband of Mary Beth Kelly, Sinking Spring and Christopher J., Sinking Spring.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren: Gregory Sarig, Vicki McCormick, Keri Kelly, Kristen Kline, Kurtis Kelly, Kyle Kelly, Andrew Trupe and LCPL Steven Trupe, U.S.M.C.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Kelly.

There are 10 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include three sisters, Teresa A., widow of Vincent Galbraith, Rochester, NY, Alma C. Kelly, Mt. Laurel, NJ; and Loretta M., widow of Walter Kramer, Maple Shade, NJ; and two brothers, Lawrence P., husband of Shina Kelly, Gaithersburg, MD, and Reverend C. Francis Kelly, Somerset, NJ.

Joseph was predeceased by a sister, Olga Kelly.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Gethsemane Chapel. Interment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
