Joseph Jabornik

Joseph Jabornik, 87, died September 2, 2009 in his Wyomissing residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Helen (Horvath) Jabornik to whom he was married for 64 years.

Born in Czechoslovakia, he was a son of the late Peter and Johanna (Strohmeyer) Jabornik.

Joseph retired from Durkee's Foods, Bethlehem and was previously employed by Lehigh Valley Dairy, Allentown and Bethlehem Steel.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Sinking Spring.

Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WWII.

He was a devoted father who loved his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Frank P., husband of Susan (Staub) Jabornik, Kempton and his daughter, Joanne J., wife of Douglas Gibble, Sinking Spring and four grandchildren, James, Corinne, Sarah and Heather.

He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Jabornik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
